DOLLHOUSE CHINA -- CAPODIMONTE Capodimonte is a term generally applied to Italian made porcelains. For more infomation visit the History of Capodimonte. The porcelains on this page, however, are each individually hand made by Marsha Hedrick in the Capodimonte style in miniature. Some of the pieces start with a molded porcelain piece to which the hand formed porcelain flowers are attached. Others are entirely built by hand. Due to the large amount of hand formed work on these pieces they are each one of a kind. Although I may do similar pieces they will all be different.             This carousel horse starts with a molded porcelain horse and base, to which 28 tiny roses have been added along with leaves and garlands. It is then china painted to bring out the details and accented with liquid brite gold             This unicorn starts with the same molded porcelain horse as the carousel horse. Then a lovely garlands of flowers, and leaves are added and a horn is added. It is then china painted to bring out the details and accented with liquid brite white gold. This Lady Dresser Box starts with a molded box and lady to which the ruffled skirt, hat and flowers are added. It is then china painted to bring out the details. 11/16" tall Mold Number C-140A This Lady figurine starts with the same molded box and lady as the box to the left but it does not open. The ruffled skirt, hat and flowers are added. It is then china painted to bring out the details. 11/16" tall Mold Number C-140A This tiny fairy and mushroom begins with a molded porcelain mushroom which is applied to a porcelain base. The fairy, its clothing, wings, and the grass are then built by hand and added to the piece. This tiny porcelain floral arrangement is built entirely by hand. It is shown on the left with an American penny to show the relative size. On the right it is shown as it was finished in a glass dome. Tiny Floral Arrangement with Bird. Entirely hand built. It is then attached to a porcelain base and hand built roses, leaves and stems are added..             Tiny sashet box Box is molded then pierced.
